Wildhood Cycling Club
In 2020 we started the Wildhood Cycling Club to be able to continue riding and organize events despite the pandemic. With no clear perspective of what 2021 will bring, we have decided to go further with the cycling club and offer our members some nice riding options for 2021.
If you’re into rough stuff, gravel, dirt-roads, single tracks and grassroots adventures, the Wildhood Cycling Club is the cycling club you’ve been waiting for. Far from the traditional kitted-out club, we are setting up a platform to ride, meet and connect with fellow dirtbags.
Since we aren’t exactly certain of what next year will bring, we put together a nice package for 2021. Wildhood will organize 4 big club-rides, one each season and always a day-adventure. We’ll do a group start, but you can choose to ride at your own pace and with your riding buddy or you can join the group. Whatever works for you. We’ll supply you with coffee, tea before the ride and a cold beer or soda after the ride. We chose this format because it is easy adaptable to whatever covid conditions might still come our way.
So, what can you expect on these adventures? Rides will be at around 100k with 1500-2000 m of climbing. We will supply cut-offs for people who prefer to ride shorter distances. We like to camp, so if the weather allows us, we will camp on our spring and summer socials. So, expect a great adventurous day out amongst friends. Our rides might not always be the classic gravel kind, but you will be charmed by our love for wild places. If Covid allows us, we’ll also be organizing 2 overnighter members-only bike-packing trips. No need to pay for these bikepackers, you only pay for the camping ground, but entries are limited.
